When we signed the paperwork, I thought that was the end of it, but I remember my attorney mentioning that she could come after my retirement. And I remember thinking that would be a shit-show because it was so complicated. 11 years later with next to zero documentation, and all the reports from Fidelity having been deleted, it's an absurdity. Still, I'm trying to piece it together. Plus, the attorneys wrote up the accounts incorrectly, and my ex didn't disclose her assets as she was supposed to. It's a big mess to clean up, and an ugly waste of my time. Ugh.

Women's post-divorce standard of living suffers more than the man's because society favors men as being the breadwinners. However, divorce happens and many women will see the hefty settlement received by an acquaintance and figure they'll win the lottery too. Except that it rarely works out so nicely for the woman. That is exactly what happened to my mother, and we all suffered for it. Pre-nuptials should be mandatory.

I haven't retreated from my views, but it does no good to point out people's shortcomings if they aren't open to other perspectives. Truth is, very few people have much introspection.
If you want to address your level of anger, you may need a different therapist and/or a psychiatrist, and maybe a medication to moderate your mood swings.
You do not need to respond to attacks. Work on letting such things go. It may hurt for a couple of days, but after that, you probably won't remember it. Build some discipline to not be so reactive. I took that class and I was glad I did. That was one class that I thought should have been mandatory. Also, Statistics. Also, those typewriters look to be electric. I think they were all still mechanical, and when I inherited my brother's electric typewriter, I was thrilled.
