And I remember thinking that would be a shit-show because it was so complicated. 11 years later with next to zero documentation, and all the reports from Fidelity having been deleted, it's an absurdity. Still, I'm trying to piece it together. Plus, the attorneys wrote up the accounts incorrectly, and my ex didn't disclose her assets as she was supposed to. I suppose the males got their rocks off, but the behavior was both pointless and mechanical. Also, too reminiscent of what goes on with humans.

@rainmanjr For what it's worth, my life experience validates your original statement. Women's post-divorce standard of living suffers more than the man's because society favors men as being the breadwinners. However, divorce happens and many women will see the hefty settlement received by an acquaintance and figure they'll win the lottery too. Except that it rarely works out so nicely for the woman. That is exactly what happened to my mother, and we all suffered for it. Pre-nuptials should be mandatory. "When the inevitable divorce happened they also got little, if any, visitation rights but lots of cost. Divorce largely impoverished males and women then further rejected those who couldn't provide." Correct. And, many women are so traumatized that they never remarry, or sabotage their next relationship with the newly boosted misandry.

Another reorg and I was set up with the QA lab to troubleshoot on-line analyzers, work at the gasoline blender and LIMS DBA (Laboratory Information Management System Data Base Administrator) on the side. Some shit happened and I actually managed to get some revenge before the BP takeover forcibly retired me. Typical shitty conservative corporation; more fond of reorganizations than productivity. If you want to address your level of anger, you may need a different therapist and/or a psychiatrist, and maybe a medication to moderate your mood swings. You do not need to respond to attacks. Work on letting such things go. It may hurt for a couple of days, but after that, you probably won't remember it. Build some discipline to not be so reactive. Is it worth the aggravation because it's a sure bet the 'defending' yourself will only create more alienation/hostility/frustration.

@Ryo1 @rainmanjr Do religious believers deserve fewer human rights than non-believers? Given the likelihood of violence in the name of religion, and how the delusional state of these people blocks their reasoning, a strong argument may be made. Iceland considers belief to be a form of mental illness, and many people would consider institutionalization of the mentally ill to be a charitable act. Ideally, believers should be re-educated and deprogrammed. As inculcating religion is child abuse, removing the child is a foreseeable remedy. The truth is that the Christian racists in the US have designed laws to imprison those with differing views, and to leave them in prison indefinitely, subject to whatever tortures the prison system allows. The US is currently at major risk of being overcome by fascism at the hands of white Christian Nationalists, led by the SUPREME COURT!!! Given the danger posed by this psychotic minority, I'm strongly inclined to give China a complete pass (not that anyone has any leverage anyway). In the specific case of China, torturing people achieves nothing, but that is what frequently develops in prison systems. Our own prison systems currently have many reports of abuse, and a report on our prison systems would likely be much worse that what was reported about China. China's Communist Party functions as a political religion with ruthless totalitarianism as standard. While they may have amazing wealth, that condition puts them entirely on par with Saudi Arabia, and the US.

On Williams: "An examination of his brain tissue suggested Williams had "diffuse Lewy body dementia" "...his widow Susan Schneider Williams said that "however you look at it—the presence of Lewy bodies took his life", referring to his previous diagnosis of Parkinson's. She also revealed that in the year before his death, Williams had experienced a sudden and prolonged spike in fear and anxiety, depression, and insomnia, which worsened in severity to include memory loss, paranoia, and delusions." I'd say a lot of people have sympathy with the idea of committing suicide rather than waste away in a progressive degeneration. We put our beloved pets to sleep, and we consider that humane. After a lifetime of use, our bodies and brains suffer wear that degrades the experience of living. What had been a delight becomes a torture chamber with no other way out. Here's a quote from the Wiki entry: She noted "how we as a culture don't have the vocabulary to discuss brain disease in the way we do about depression. Depression is a symptom of LBD (Lewy body dementia) and it's not about psychology – it's rooted in neurology. His brain was falling apart." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Williams
