Making certain religious holidays Federal holidays violates my freedom of religion. How about not enforcing laws forbidding political speech in church? How about how only 40% of people accept evolution happened and a whopping 40% are certain it didn't (Meaning that Christians have removed established science from science education because they're 'offended'... I had a close friend named Scott during my teens. I learned that he was ' religious ' when he invited me to a Billy Graham event. We remained friends, but the religion put a damper on it. I felt that religion stole him from me. I don't remember for sure, but he provided Chick tracts which denounce science and science teachers. Meanwhile, I read Eric Hoffer's The True Believer. I presented a book report to my social studies class and found that most of my classmates were hostile and fearful of atheism (brain dead). Only one other classmate helped defend the non-religious perspective. I am currently reading "Drugs are NOT the Devil's Tools by Dr. David Bearman, MD. I heartily recommend it as a stunning critique of religion and how it has consistently fucked over those who believed religion and the many, many, many victims.(used against pagans, witches(women), Aztecs, Incas, Native Americans, Irish, Germans, Blacks, Chinese, Sikhs, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Catholics, Jews and Italians, among others.)
