One of the primary failings of Western religions is to not insist that leaders and governments work to minimize corruption. What we've been brainwashed to believe is that corruption is acceptable at any level, and equating the abuses enacted by the ultra-wealthy to the lying that people do every day. They are not the same. The extreme wealth disparity imposes equally extreme inefficiencies on the employment of people. Unemployment, underemployment and misuse of talent drags the economy down and creates a fertile field for fascist recruitment.

The band validates the article's suggestion that some x-rays are coming from the aurora. Perhaps the aurora facilitates storms that are small and spread out, but still big enough for lightening. Jupiter has bands of smaller storms, I believe.
