I am getting tired of coming up with bad words to describe our leader and chief.

I watched a video where a republican robot trotted out all the Fox talking points. One among them, though, was valid: 'Some on the 'left' are hoping that the pandemic will unseat Trump.' The reality is that Trump is worse than the pandemic.
Indeed, any other president would have been less incompetent, and not actually obstruct the CDC and the states from testing Covid into oblivion. We might not have a fatality rate as low as South Korea, but it would be so much better than we have now. And, our economy would not be in ruins, as it will be after a summer of runaway Covid.
The problem is that Trump is an existential threat to humanity, not the only one, but Trump is INDIFFERENT from making severe problems much, much worse. WWIII is not out of the question for him. So yeah, if the pandemic will unseat Trump, I definitely do cheer for that. Every day Trump is in office is a bad day for Humanity (and a good day for Evangelical wackos, foil hatters, bigots, Karens and the rest of the republican degenerates).

My issue is with believers who proselytize knowing that something is wrong somewhere, because their beliefs are at odds with reality. What is wrong is that they are too lazy to find out the truth, and to thus discover their cherished beliefs are wrong. It's not that innocent, and actually is much closer to lying.

When I was 12 or 13, I was with family visiting my grandparents. They lived in a high-rise condo on the Near North side of Chicago. I went up to the roof to see what I could see. Looking west, I could see the buildings and the skylines. The air was hazy, but I still managed to spot a strange row of lights traveling north at maybe 5 mph. I couldn't see the object itself in the dusk haze, but the lights appeared on the left side and disappeared on the right, and one was missing. They appeared to be mounted on a circular object. I considered trying to get someone to see it with me, but judged it would be out of sight. It slowly traveled north until it was out of sight. It could have been a large balloon-suspended affair, given the speed and lack of noise.

Nothing about the pandemic prevents parishioners from contributing by mail, etc. Religion should not be classified as a business. For every business, on pays money for a good or service. No good or service is provided. People walk out with what they walked in with. It is a scam and taxpayer money must not be given to non-taxpaying religious hucksters, no matter how established. Was money equally disbursed to Wiccans, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.?

However, my intuition suggests that there is a significant probability 25-45% that this whole venture, the PR and the book and Mikovits herself, are part of a larger disinformation campaign. The style of the disinformation closely compares to the conspiracy disinformation that was disseminated for 9/11 and for UFO disparagement.
UFO community originally defined the concept of the Deep State. It is this Military-Industrial-Intelligence Complex that disseminates disinformation to obfuscate so-called national security issues.

I saw most of the video. The article validates my impression that Mikovits lied repeatedly, then shamelessly in promotion of her book. I understand the notion of free speech, but this kind of wholesale misinformation is entirely comparable to shouting fire in a crowded theater.

Many people will worry that the loss of declared affiliation will mean a rise in immorality. The unswerving allegiance of the Evangelicals to Trump proves they refuse to be offended by the most vile, degenerate and corrupt politician in American history. So much for Christian morality! The loyalty of each Evangelical to Trump proves they will ditch the morality their religion teaches; and then enact fawning fealty to a personalty cult. Gross!! And they are proud to be deplorable! -A haunted hayride ended up in the loft of a barn where the lead wacko shook a gory leg bone at us to scare us into submission. Someone had a squirt gun that distracted the mood.
-Going to a Hillel social where a few young ladies knelt in prayer. They seemed so nice up to that point.
-Went to a cult meeting in midtown Long Beach where a psychic had built a following. The members dressed in uniforms closely resembling Star Trek uniforms. The leader gave quick readings to whoever lined up.
-I interviewed a priest for a paper. While there, I was bemused at the alcoves that held dolls dressed in finery that represented various South American saints.
