I was born a cultural Jew but raised with no religion. My parents believed that if I wanted religion, I could find my own as an adult. I have raised my daughter the same way. Being raised in central Canada, I have never felt the pressure to conform to a religion as many of my American friends have. I do have friends of many faiths, however I haven't been subject to any of them suggesting I find God, or welcome Jesus into my heart, or threatening me with the burning fires of hell...though when a Winnipeg winter really hits, those fires do sound nice....I will admit that on occasion, I have sent a prayer or two down to Lord Helix (Pokémon die hards will understand that reference.) Halloween is my favourite of all holidays, though some people seem to think I sacrifice animals and small children...
