I moved to San Diego 2 years ago to be near my kids. I had to retire 5 years ago at 50 from 35 years in software. Now I'm a full-time dad during the week so that my ex and her husband can work.

I've been in a deep depression for much of the last decade and have only recently felt like I'm moving into remission. This happened almost overnight when I made the decision to live my life online only. All of a sudden, my internal critic stopped for the first time in my life because I am no longer living my life for anyone but myself and my kids.
