I am a retired technician who repaired dental equipment--everything from air compressors Xrays (there weren't anythings that began with Z as I recall). I spent forty years in that business, thirtyfive with one company. It was all in the greater Seattle area which meant forty years of driving all day in city traffic-- well over a million miles.I am a widower now, but at the time I retired my wife and I moved a house we had built our retirement way out in the woods , off-grid, about twenty miles the nearest town. I have a lot more to say about that experience but the sake of brevity, I will just say that trying finish a house like that ( off-grid) and create the infrastructure while living in it was a project better tackled at thirty, not sixtyfive.
