Getting free of religion is fantastic, isn’t it? Ever since I did, I continue to grow in excitement about life and its changes. I have learned to laugh easily. Now I am ready for a little traveling and a lot of new adventures. I love being around any bodies of water and hiking is amazing in the lush forests of Oregon.

Besides just doing things for fun, I enjoy working on household projects and problem solving. But they are much more fun when collaborating with another mind. Time spent with like minds is always richer.

I am happy and comfortable with me, so I am NOT desperate for a serious relationship! I am starting over, so if you want someone who already knows just what they want, it's not me, lol.

If you have been religious, how has being free of it affected your life?

I am certain of the unconditional love I have for my children.
thislife comments on Sep 8, 2018:
Unconditional love might just be the wrong term for the kind of love we all want. Quote from the Huffington Post article: "...Wanting unconditional love isn’t the same as wanting your partner to love your whole self. My partner has seen all of me — the good, bad, ugly and ugly-plus — and he still sticks around. And I’ve seen the same in him and I’m still here and happy. So, maybe what we should want isn’t unconditional love, but nonjudgmental love. Don’t judge me for my insecurities, my guilt, my shameful places. Don’t love me in spite of those things but because of them. And wanting that kind of love is more than OK."

thislife comments on Sep 22, 2018:
I'm listening at 7pm here in Oregon :). It's a nice song. I was wondering what it means and found this long but interesting comment when I googled it: "General Comment He's questioning whether god exists or not. "the fish swam out of the ocean and grew legs and they started walking and the apes climbed down from the trees and grew tall and they started talking and the stars fell out of the sky" Life evolved, then alot of living creatures died when an asteroid hit earth (or a star fell out of the sky) "now i'm looking for a reason why" He's asking why humans (or himself) now exists when most life became exstinct millions of years ago. "cause if you're not really here then the stars don't even matter now i'm filled to the top with fear but it's all just a bunch of matter" He's scared because if god doesn't exist then he, us, the stars, and everything around us is just a bunch of matter. Matter meaning a mass of atoms. "i feel a way of something beyond them i don't see what i can feel if vision is the only validation then most of my life isn't real" he feels like theres more than just what he can see (heaven maybe?) but if vision is the only thing that makes everything real (or something isnt real if you cant see it) then most of his life isnt real, because life is built from emotional feelings (and you cant see your feelings) black & gold is just what he sees when he looks up into the night sky This is a very deep song that questions religion and reality and hes trying to find a way to put the two together. Im not at all a religious person but this is 1 of my favourite songs because everything he says in it makes sense to me. He's having the same thoughts that i have had (and probly most humans) mrmoo232on March 07, 2008" From the website: songmeanings.com
