Any suggestions for an interesting, gripping, thought-provoking movie on Netflix?

Australian movie "the Dressmaker". 1950's society rural Victoria. It hasn't changed much in 60+ years. For those delighting in dress styles a must see.

Oooh, I have seen Dressmaker, and it was brilliant! Dress styles, period history, great story with a fine ending!

Erik the Viking is a movie I especially enjoy, I think it's under rated. Especially the play between the Christian Missionary and the Nordic Myth crowd, great stuff. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097289/

Sounds great, but doesn't search out on NF!

Hi all! I was just curious what people think about a person who lies about their age?
SkotlandSkye comments on Jan 27, 2019:
I use Halloween as my BDay online -- but the correct year. It's within 100 days of being my correct BDay so I don't see the issue as it's not vanity driven. NEVER use your real BDay online as phisher/scammers can use it to help them steal your identity. The best rule of thumb is to use your ...

The rank insanity of some, most actually, religious sects/beliefs never seems to surprise me. Early last week we had a new family move into the neighborhood, last Friday afternoon I had a knock on my front door, I opened it to find a young child about 10 years of age who asked if I had any candles ...

Poor kids, and I would bet on some major rebellion a few years out. Having those strict beliefs with parents not even organized enough to pull it off is a whole added layer of conflict, hoo-boy!
"Drama requires your participation to exist." Opinions invited.
tinkercreek comments on Jan 17, 2019:
Participation is fairly easy to avoid, but most drama seems to thrive more on attention. Learning to hold a pleasantly passive face and voice can go a long way toward extinguishing that drive to garner more attention!

@Wangobango3 , I understand, and must always put effort into pulling that off!
Is anyone else attending the UNBELIEVABLE?
PDXNorm comments on Jul 8, 2018:
Geez, just registering for this thing is a trial. "What is the name of your home church?" is a required question. Is there a good way to answer this without lying or soliciting a . Maybe "Church Of The Do Not Me"
tinkercreek replies on Jul 19, 2018:
It would seem the assumption of "home church" could indicate a heavily weighted discussion, and not necessarily a conversation. Always good to hear ideas that differ from our own, but I would only attend a gathering like this in a neutral setting, with a neutral approach.
