Music induced chill bumps. What trips your bumps? [themindunleashed.com]
tioteo comments on Sep 12, 2018:
I enjoyed the information. Yes, I get chills from certain pieces, not all of which are classical. Beethoven's ninth, especially the 3rd and 4th movements, gets me every time. Rachmaninoff"s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, second piano concerto, and second symphony receive the same response. There are others as well, including Where've You Been, a song sung by Kathy Mattea.

tioteo comments on Sep 12, 2018:
Barry's integration of this 18th variation works well. Somewhere in Time was filmed on Mackinac (Iending pronunciation _aw, not -ak) Island, one of the most beautiful places in our state. I love the movie, but must point out that this piece was completed in 1934 while the time of the love story in the movie is around 1910, and the variation is played on a music box in the film. Also, this variation was used in a movie that came out in 1953 called The Story of Three Loves. That was the first time I heard it. I have loved it ever since, and not just this variation, but the whole rhapsody.
Today and every day!
