She's got the right idea. Perhaps the details, concept is different. Perhaps instead of "making it happen alone" it might be stated "making it happen with someone else". That someone else could be multiple and transient, and therefore, unrecognizable, That someone else could be so many helping in little bitty ways, instead of very few helping in "Grand Ways". But narcissistic? I don't think so. (I see enough narcissm from people who've accomplished NOTHING). In my post below, I never set out to be a loner and ostracized. It was their actions & decisions, not mine. Wouldn't a narcissist strike first? Inflict whatever damage they felt like and walk away blameless, immune from regret, or unapologetic over any hurt & destruction that they heartlessly caused? Or....are you saying that simply having a goal outside of what your fellow humans agree your goals SHOULD be, (or haviing a personal goal at all) is in fact proof of narcissm? We need a balance here!!! LOL

@LogicEve An old (older) some kind of friend of mine who constantly ran around on his wife, always told me: "Tom if you want to find a woman, go to church. That's where the women are" . Pretty laughable since my friend Woody (True name!) never set foot in a church. When I tried dating sites, women were constantly looking for a Christian man. I'd ask why don't you try church? They'd say: "There are no single men there!" Bars? Kind of like high school full of older folks. So where is the right place? Believe it or not, as a roofer, I've met a few through roofing jobs. Including the mother of my children. Work and love aren't supposed to commingle in this age, so i can't LEGALLY recommend taking an interest in someone at your job. I think what bothers me is lost opportunity....How many times have I walked away from a casual encounter thinking: "Why didn't I relax and linger? She didn't seem to be in a hurry. She was nice." I don't know if it's a place really. It's an attitude isn't it?
