I’m the only person in my family that is not a xtian. I was a closet agnostic until about 3 years ago. Now I’m out. Some of my family will barely speak to me now. My dad is cool though. He’s a xtian that I like. We have deep conversations and debate over the historicity of Jesus and we have rather heated debates about the shroud of Turin. My aunt almost fainted when I told her I did not pray or believe in the Abrahamic deity. I love debate and have gotten pretty good at it after years of study. I don’t know who I piss off more, theists or mythicists. Glad I found this page. There are probably 50 or so churches in this small town. Luckily, it’s a college town. So it is fairly progressive. I was raised a Methodist which in my opinion is one of the most liberal Protestant churches there are. And they have the best potluck dinners.
