Why do men get so mad when they get rejected?
webbew1 comments on Mar 20, 2018:
The key element in situations like this is time. As in, the finite amount of it we have on this earth. If a guy cuts out on you and moves on after you've placed him in the friend zone, it's because every single second he spends with you beyond that point is a waste of his formidable years of peak sexual opportunity. You have to understand that he already has guy friends to hang out with, shoot the shit, grab a couple of beers and catch a ball game. He's with you because he's romantically interested, and if you're only interested in just being friends, then you have nothing to offer regarding his needs that he can't easily have fulfilled somewhere else. There's nothing sadder than watching some guy wander through the desert of the friend zone for weeks, months or even years hoping that some woman he's pining over will one day offer him an oasis which doesn't exist. If you're really interested in keeping a guy you're friend zoneing as a friend, then you have a couple of options: 1) Set him up on dates. Make it your mission to find him a mate. OR 2) If he's so unfortunately unattractive that the likelyhood of finding a mate is slim, then take him to the Bunny Ranch in Carson City, Nevada as a christmas or birthday present and get the poor guy laid for pete sake. Friend zoneing a guy just so you can have somebody to bitch to about the guy that you are actually fucking is no act of friendship. It's an act of cruelty. And you're no friend if you do it.
So.

During our peak, from the 1940's through the 1970's, we actually were the greatest nation in the world. The greatest Representative Republic operated under Democratic ideals since the Roman Empire. Now we're just a piece of shit Oligarchy ruled over by Plutocrats and Theocrats.

We've got a few of those folks on here. That attitude isn't for me. I'll take a pass on the whole rageing against the gnostic machine thing. Life is far too short to be going off on some time wasting crusade against a bunch of dim bulbs who believe that a sky fairy with a white beard sits on a cloud and watches in judgement over us all. I'd much rather spend the limited time I have in this life traveling, getting laid and having as much fun as possible with my friends. Work and other obligations already take up too much time I'd rather be using for the aforementioned pursuits. If I'm going to add to that time, I'd rather do so by participating in the arena of politics where I can make a difference that actually matters. Let the sky fairy believers believe what ever cockamamie bullshit they like, so long as they keep that crap out of the halls of my government.

Me: You know.
webbew1 comments on Feb 26, 2018:
Welcome to the friend zone, buddy. They call you to piss and whine about some guy they're fucking who treats them like dogshit. Meanwhile, you get to spend every night jerking off, waiting for the inevitable sobbing phone calls. That's how the friend zone works. Next time she tries to pull that crap on you, interrupt her and tell her that you don't want to hear it. Let her know that if she really wanted a guy like you, then she'd be dating you. You need to draw a line in the sand or you'll never be more to this person than a barely animate object which they can vent to when some useless turd fucks her over yet again. Tell her to go vent to her gay friends, and that she can give you a call when she wants to go out with you and do something fun. Let her know that using you as a no cost therapist is not acceptable. If drawing a line in the sand ends it between you and this person, then so be it. She never really gave two shits about you anyway.

Watch any of the God's Not Dead movies. Those pieces of ham fisted, melodramatic cinematic tripe are the greatest argument in favor of atheism ever made.
Are you racist?
webbew1 comments on Feb 19, 2018:
While I most certainly have my predjudices, I am not racist. There are people I am above, but my superiority over them is never based upon the color of their skin, their ethnic background, their religious beliefs or their sexual orientation or preferences. If I am superior to someone, it is because that individual has made a conscious choice to shun learning about the world they live in and the other living creatures with whom they share it. They are the kind of people who live in a bubble of fear and loathing of their own making, and the planet would be a far better place without them.
Finally watching Wonder Woman.
webbew1 comments on Feb 11, 2018:
Why? Because sex sells. From Hollywood blockbuster action films geared towards men with tacked on female eye candy to trashy female-centric "so called" plot driven porn novels like Fifty Shades Of Gray. So long as it puts a shit ton of money in somebody's pocket, that dynamic will never change.

I have been loyal to a fault to my man of almost 13 years, married almost 11.
webbew1 comments on Feb 5, 2018:
"I have stayed every time I should have left. And now its happening all over again." "I don't know what I did. But I feel so broken." Those are the key phrase in your statement. Nothing else you wrote has any bearing on the price of tea in China. First of all, why are you allowing the actions of a lesser individual to dictate how you feel? Stop it. Right goddamn now. And yes, you did do something wrong here and you need to take responsibility for that. Your mistake was wasting 13 years of a finite life on an individual who has proven over and over again that they are not worthy of the time it takes to wipe your ass. Time to fix your mistake. Pack your shit and get the fuck out. File for divorce if you are married, and DO NOT, FOR ANY REASON (I repeat, DO NOT, FOR ANY REASON) initiate contact with this individual other than through your attorney. If you feel as though your safety and well being are in danger, leave for a location where nobody knows you. Do not go to a friends house. Do not stay with family members. Do not go ANYWHERE which would be considered predictable. If there are children involved, contact the authorities and explain that you have left your husband because you believe that your life is in danger and you no longer feel safe in your living environment. Inform them that you believe your children may be endangered as well. File for full custody through your attorney. If you fail to do these things, then you'll simply have to live with the fact that this is who the person you are with is, and that this relationship is the best you'll ever be willing to strive for. Make your choice.

New Study: Owning Firearms Will Turn You Gay
webbew1 comments on Jan 25, 2018:
Will turn you gay?? I kind of thought that anyone who owns more than a couple of fire arms for the purpose of self defense and hunting for survival is over compensating and is already very deeply closeted. Fire arms don't make one light in the loafers. People who are light in the loafers need a whole basement full of fire arms to try to convince themselves and everyone else that they're not gay.
Women, does he really need to know?
webbew1 comments on Jan 24, 2018:
First of all, this is a situation which no grown ass man will ever put a woman in to. A grown ass man will take the responsibility to wear a condom. If it gets to the point where a woman has to make that phone call, then the dude has already proven that he lacks the maturity to be involved in raising a child. So no, a woman has no obligation to contact him or inform him regarding any decisions requiring an adult. And she should probably take a good, honest look at the quality of men she's giving the most intimate parts of herself to.

Haven't been to the theater in awhile. Ticket prices are just too rich for my pocketbook these days. Haven't done any acting in a long time either. Black and White Films
webbew1 comments on Jan 24, 2018:
Some of the finest film and television ever made is in black and white. Hell, I'll go so far as to say that some of the finest entertainment ever made isn't even on film, but was presented on radio before film with sound was even a medium. I find it astounding what they were able to accomplish back in the early 1900's with so little to work with. Give me a radio broadcast of an old Twilight Zone episode over the latest turd from Michael Bay any day. Glitzy special effects and modern production values mean absolutely nothing without decent story telling and character development.

I have a question for people who describe themselves as agnostic.
webbew1 comments on Jan 22, 2018:
All of the above. The whole impetus for being an agnostic is fully grasping that until something can be seen, felt or touched, it can be neither proven nor disproven. An agnostic does not cling to the notion of there being absolutely nothing beyond sentient, organic life with the same furvor in which a gnostic clings to the opposing viewpoint. An agnostic is open to possibility, but only possibility until such time as clear sensory evidence is presented.

Best thing about sex besides an orgasm ?
webbew1 comments on Jan 17, 2018:
Everything. There isn't one single thing about sex that isn't wonderful. The anticipation from the second you both know that you are about to have sex, to the foreplay, to the sheer bliss of the afterglow, to the pizza, or movie or what ever happens until the time comes when you are both carried away by the urge to do it again. It's experiences like that which make all of the shit life throws at you worth going through. And if you're lucky enough to have that experience even once in your life, count yourself very lucky. Some go through their entire lives and never get to live that moment.

Who was the first band you fell in love with?
webbew1 comments on Jan 11, 2018:
The first band I was really obsessed with was Marillion. I found an abandoned 12 inch single of Heart of Lothian in the basement of my college fraternity and it compelled me to go pick up a copy of the album, Misplaced Childhood. The next day I went and picked up a copy of Clutching At Straws. I must have worn the grooves out of those two records. The fact that a band could be so complex and yet so accessable was amazing to me. I always found the prog rock which I heard prior to Marillion to be far more complex and technical than it was actually listenable or emotionally fulfilling. Marillion proved that it was possible to bridge the gap between prog rock and the mainstream without sacrificing impeccable musicianship or giving way to predictable conventionality.

Nobody Likes Feminism: that's what happened, Hillary. - YouTube
webbew1 comments on Jan 10, 2018:
My mom rose to the rank of post master in my home town, which was actually quite an achievement for a woman back in the 60's and 70's. She hated feminists with a passion. She always used to tell me that there is a big differeence between a woman who works for equal rights and one who is a feminist. According to her, if feminists were actually more interested in obtaining equal rights than they were in marching in the streets and burning their bras, they'd be in the work place making a difference and proving themselves. I don't entirely agree with my mom's views. I still believe that she wouldn't have gotten as far as she did without the marches and bra burnings of the 60's and 70's. However, I think change would have eventually arrived even without radical action. The only difference is, I don't think we'd be saddled today with the view of feminism which this vlogger speaks of.

My family was your typical catholic, go to church every week, follow the teachings of the church kind of folk. By the time my parents shipped me off to catholic school in 5th grade, I just found the whole thing irritating. By the 7th grade I was done. I had to keep playing the part and going through all of the motions though. I knew if I didn't I'd probably be shipped off somewhere for brainwashing.

Of course Trump doesn't read. He's never been required to develop the skill. This is what happens when everything is handed to you from the day of your birth on a silver platter and you never really have to strive for anything in order to survive and thrive. When your daddy forks over 22 billion on the day he dies and you've always had a staff of servants to meet your every need, you don't actually have to develop any of the basic skills required to be genuinely successful in life.

webbew1 comments on Jan 5, 2018:
I've heard that childbirth is the equivalent of bones being crushed. I've never experienced having any part of my anatomy crushed, but I've heard as well that being slowly crushed to death is by far the most horrible way for someone to die. Getting kicked in the yarballs is indeed pretty awful, but I would have to admit that childbirth is probably even worse. The difference between the two is, getting kicked in the jimmy's yields no benefit. Childbirth has a rather significant payoff. That's why a woman is willing to endure the experience again while someone who gets kicked in the balls enthusiastically seeks to avoid a repeat episode.

Republicans have been clamouring for a government which is run like a business for years. So who do they put in the drivers seat when they finally get what they want? Is it a highly admired and respected business mogul who has built a business empire from the ground up? Nope. They give us Trump. A trust fund baby and a life long charlatan who would be a Wal-Mart door greeter right now if not for the 22 billion that daddy left him.
I was raised on hippie music.

Cat Stevens (Yasuf Islam) is one of those artists who has never stopped putting out quality material. Some artists from the 60's and 70's, such as the Moody Blues, Aerosmith and Van Halen put out their last good record in the early 80's and haven't made a decent album since. Some artists from those decades are still going strong. I would also encourage everyone to look into the post 80's work of Bob Dylan, Deep Purple, Herbie Hancock, Bruce Springsteen, Rush (perhaps recently retired) and The Scorpions. All have put out one or more very solid records over the past thirty years.

Do Women Want to Be Oppressed? - Scientific American Blog Network
webbew1 comments on Jan 2, 2018:
You'd think with the massive success of torture porn for women like the Fifty Shades trilogy, the answer would be yes. But then we have men being slapped with sexual harrassment lawsuits for so much as looking at a woman in a way which they happen to deem creepy and you'd think the answer is a resounding no. So who the fuck knows.
personally, not religious, obviously.

What is your New Years Day meal this year?
webbew1 comments on Jan 2, 2018:
I hung out with some friends last night (even though I said I was going to stay home because I had been out the previous two nights). The bar I was at had some snacks, so I just munched on that stuff in between singing karaoke.
Quick poll.

I've never been an "angry non-believer". I just never really bought in to the whole man with a white beard up in the sky thing. I don't really have any beef with those who believe it though. My issue is with those who use believers for their own self-motivated agendas. Those people piss me the fuck off.
The admistration has twice denied a reply I made on the website.

I certainly hope that peoples comments aren't being censored. That would be highly disappointing. If I want to see censorship on speech, I'll move to North Korea.
Do you taunt the religious?
webbew1 comments on Dec 31, 2017:
I don't taunt anybody unless they throw the first stone. The way I was raised, you don't ever throw the first punch. But you make damn sure you throw the last. And I can be one vicious son of a bitch if I need to be.

I'm going to go with a 1. I'm open to new things, but for me the best part about sex is the physical closeness. It's not possibe to be physically close to a partner when your jerking off while watching from underneath while they take a dump on top of a glass coffee table, or what ever else it is those crazy kids are doing these days.
What are your plans for ringing in the New Year?
