recovery
from religion feels like a lifelong journey. Is it? I was raised in a fundamentalist environment. Two of the most egregious sins imaginable were my burden from pre-teenage: being attracted to other boys and questioning faith. It wasn't ...

Who here has had a shoulder injury? How did you do it? Was it graded? What and how long did you have to cope with it. Anyone here ever have a bad one with 100% recovery? If not did you have to stop certain activities?

I'm a recovering alcoholic/addict. I am active for years in a 12 step program and have found a work around in the belief in a higher power requirement and remain a devout atheist. Are there any other people like me on this site?

This is a question for recovering addicts (drug, sex, food, etc) . How are you recovering from your addiction without god? Have you modified the 12 steps? If you do use a higher power or powers, can you describe those powers?
