I love to see my kitties go after bugs in the house. They get so much exercise. Quite often they don't catch it, but they get a good work out. And it does seem like they get most of the bugs.
Nothing like seeing them running past in a blur, jumping off the furniture, and stretching up into thin air to catch the flies. I used to count kills by all the dead ones on the floor.
I once lived with a beautiful sleek short haired tuxedo cat named Shamu. He was so fast and accurate that he could catch anything in mid-flight. I had to teach him that birds were a no-no, but flies were fair game.

Posted by KilltheskyfairyPersonally I think cats should be higher on the fun line and lower on the effort. (Dragons do sound like fun.)
