So, once again, my post was denied.
No honesty in the email.
No explanation as to why
Nothing to do with the text.
Instagram and Facebook safe nude pics were attached and this is the real reason.
There’s NO breach of the community guidelines and I’m over it!
Wtf is wrong with you people?
I thought I’d found my tribe of open minded, humanist adults!
@admin - it’s still happening!
This time I edited the pics and you’re still censoring me!
Very unimpressed! ?

i totally feel your frustration, OpenOptimist. this seems to be straight from the victorian era. astounding, how physically prudish folks can be, while claiming the freedom of the mind. doesn't quite fit.

Yeah, I had to add the note on the group description to warn people that this site is more conservative than Facebook when it comes to nudity, even if totally nonsexual. I am not happy about it

However, the site is free, and @Admin runs the site by himself, with a the help of a few friends who help out part time. They made a management decision towards being overly cautious about nudity in general. It's their site, so we have to deal with their rules.

I suspect their rules are overly conservative specifically so that believers cant' point to the site as being "immoral" due to the presence of even benign nudity.

Also, not all atheists/agnostics are all that open minded about nudity and the human body. Granted more atheists are open minded about nudity than believers, but a large percentage have still been conditioned by a culture shaped by religious beliefs and have been taught to be ashamed of their bodies and to think of nudity in adverse ways.

So, even if at present the site is(overly) strict, I think contributing and beign active on the site will change attitudes over time. We have to take the world as we find it, and make the change we want happen.,

It is my position that we cane into the world nude, and that being nude is our natural state. We learn, mostly through religious influences in our culture(s) to fear guilt shame and fear about nudity in general, which in my mind is psychologically harmful.

I hope attitudes change, and I had hoped this site would be of more help in that regard than it has been. However just making atheism/agnosticism more acceptable is at least a partial help in that regard.
