I fell off my porch yesterday.
I have fibromyalgia & diabetes (& others), which I've never received proper medical care for. I get periodic flare ups of inflammation that cause muscle pain and weakness.
For the last few weeks, my left ankle has been hurting and resistant to any home treatment. Yesterday morning I was walking the dog and it finally just got weak and gave out on me as I was feeling for the step (with my right foot) in the dark.
As I felt myself falling, I kind of launched myself a little with my right foot so I wouldn't land on the concrete walkway. I cleared all three steps and the walkway, landing in the grass about 8 feet from where I started. I landed on my right upper arm which is sore and weak--it's hard to lift it any if I try to do something like put my hair in a ponytail, it kind of just gives out and falls on its own. It's a little better today.
The worst injury is my left ankle which wasn't involved in the accident at all. I think it just gave out. It used to be my right one that would do that sometimes and make me fall for no apparent reason. I'm going to go back to wearing hiking boots for a while. They at least keep me upright when my ankles aren't working.
To add insult to injury, I was having the worst day of my period yesterday (PCOS) which left me dragging myself back and forth from the couch to the bathroom every couple of hours. I was just gross and miserable all day. I am feeling a little better today.
Finally able to sit upright and complain about it properly. LOL
I hope you get in with your doctor. They say that medical marijuana can reduce fibromyalgia symptoms if you can get access where you are.
Diagnosed over 20 years ago. Was in remission during pregnancy at 42. Has been on/off for years. Tenyears ago I fell from kitchen counter and broke my ankle-screws and pins. Hope you saw a doctor-
Yikes that sucks hope you get to feeling better soon
