E-Petition 3-3114 – a Petition to end discrimination against atheists in Canada’s refugee policies
I don't usually post "political" things here, but lives are at stake.
Since September of 2020, Secular Connexion Séculière (SCS) has been working to get access to Canada’s Less Complex Claims policy for atheists. This policy gives religious people from several countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia, access to refugee status without a hearing.
At the moment atheists are excluded from this policy.
SCS has joined with Humanist Canada and Centre for Inquiry Canada to initiate an e-petition that asks the Minister of Immigration, The Hon. Marco Mendicino to include atheists in this fast track to refugee status.
