In Ukraine, Ultra-Nationalists Are the ‘Good Guys’

Neo-Nazism’s rise in Ukraine is due to the silent approval of Ukraine’s political and military elites who prefer to turn a blind eye because they rely on the far-right for their military potential, Ukrainian academic Marta Havryshko tells Natylie Baldwin.

Baldwin: Can you also explain how the Ukrainian government and its western allies have white-washed the contemporary Ukrainian ultra-nationalists and their historical role in the WWII massacres against Jews, Poles and others?

Havryshko: For a long time after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the glorification of OUN and UPA remained mostly a regional cult, specific to Western Ukraine. After the Maidan revolution, this cult began to be artificially promoted at the national level.

Firstly, this was facilitated by the creation of the so-called Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, which made the glorification of Ukrainian nationalists one of its key areas of work. Secondly, the Ukrainian parliament adopted a memorial law in 2015 that recognized members of the OUN and UPA as “fighters for the independence of Ukraine” and introduced penalties for individuals who “publicly express disrespect” toward them.

As you can see in the Grayzone article towards the bottom, are essentially funded by [thegrayzone.com] these type of groups, like the one I highlighted above, are funded by western governments. Primarily by the governments of Britain, the US, Germany, Israel, and the Czech Republic, along with NATO itself. Along with billionaires such as Soros, and a number of think tanks and NGOs. So of course they're going to twist history and facts to serve their purposes.

Basically, what they did was the same thing we had {in the US} coming into the new century in 2000. As vast campaigns of glorifying the troops kicked off and the apparent need to staunchly rant about patriotism. As though we need to be reminded where we are and what country we essentially support. The vast majority of the US citizenship never thought to sport a US flag on virtually everything they drive and own. Constantly having to remind themselves and the rest of us. To beat into us the acceptance and compliance of various multiple crimes that would come with their agendas just a year or so later within their manufactured wars, as they also steadily remove our rights, we forgot to recognize our own were being killed in their constructed list of crimes abroad. How would anyone dare to make that acknowledgment! How could anyone when the facts are being falsely manufactured and histories being erased. Within the constant flow of distractions from a collaborate media being spoon fed from the same type of organizations. Why would these media reporters think any different when their incomes are in the 10s of millions of dollars. And their guest sit on boards of weapon makers and or hold stock within that also get paid for their appearances to spew brainwashing bullshit.

You won't be offered any information to allow an intellectual discourse to think anything but what they want you to think. They have it all planned out for you. Just like you shouldn't be fooled by Sanders again. We're witnessing the same type of bullshit with him and AOC going around the country within large manufactured rallies. Sanders is leading another fraudulent champaign. And this time the fraud AOC is right in the thick of it with him. She's on her way up the ladder.
