Hello group, I am a democratic socialist from the frozen north where welfare, employment insurance, minimum wages (that actually regularly increase) exist, as does government pension plans, old age security, unions and universal healthcare. Thought I might explore this groups minds and ideas to see what can be done to actually make the world less of a shithole for most if not all of its 7 Billion plus inhabitants.

@HeathenFarmer no one is their father, but I guess our current shitstorm of a government causes anyone else to shine brightly in comparison.

I can get it on satellite but, I don't watch it unless I am desperate for some comic relief.
@HeathenFarmer The relative lack of Fox News is probably one reason you've been able to keep your social gains…
@Krish55 They tried to come here but our CRTC has rules about truth in news and unbiased reporting, they failed to meet the national standard for licensing a news network.
