In Pelasgian/Greek myth, the goddess Eurynome arose from the primal abyss and danced. Since there was nothing firm, she separated the sea from the sky and danced on the waves. Wind appeared behind her back and she caught the north wind, rubbing it between her hands and creating the great serpent, Ophion with whom she then danced.
There is more to the myth and there are very close parallels to the Hebrew creation myth.

That's where the Hindus are wayyy ahead of the xtians. Shiva danced all the time...quite charmingly, actually.
