I recently learned that an ancestor was uncle by marriage to William Wallace, the main character in Braveheart. As Wallace’s tutor, this great-great x many grandfather taught him how to fight, and about honor and freedom. Youtube

Here’s an interesting exercise I did with the results of my ancestry dna. They give you the list of matches and they’re ranked in order of closeness (siblings, 1st cousins, etc.). The very last person on my list was primarily Italian and Greek....

Well I got my DNA results and I’m a man of many nations. Shocked, honored and .....questions. But before the questions build up I just realized I have an expensive item to add to my bucket list which is to visit each country on my DNA list.
