People who cannot speak stand with those who cannot think they say ,, So I say life is short be confident in who you are and get out of your shell . Maybe take public speaking or getting a playstation4 and create alter egos in a virtual world like 4 kings casino and slots etc Dr Sanjay Gupta head cnn medical and brain surgeon video games and recommends it ..
I agree with some of the other people who have responded to this. Being an introvert doesn't stop you being good at making speeches or giving presentations. I never found it particularly difficult to put on a performance when I had to, for work, or in meetings. It is social interaction I can't be bothered with. it all seems so boring and trivial, and yet, like others in this group, people often want to tell me their life story.
I'm an introvert. I was a member of a local Toastmasters club for a few years. I won a few club contests and participated in several local competitions. I got better, but I never was comfortable with speeches. Table Topics was something I did well - you don't have time to get nervous, you have to just stand up and start talking.
I think the key to my difficulties with public speaking is my strong social anxiety. My anxiety in social situations made it very difficult for me to remember my speeches and I had to rely on my written speech, which prevented me from advancing my skills and doomed me in competitions other than my club chapter.
Our club started meetings with a prayer, which was another reason I eventually decided to leave.
Not sure what you are saying. Introverts are not necessarily shy.
It's been my experience that introverts lose their energy to other people and extroverts gain energy from other people. As an introvert i have my public persona which i rely on at work or other "peoply" places and my real persona that prefers to be alone or with select, non energy sucking, people. So, I don't consider myself to be shy.
@XxDARKNEXUSxX whatever dude. If you think you know my personality better than I...Did you read any of the other posts who agree with me? In any case this is a place for introverts not sure why you are trying to change us.
No way to public speaking for me! I have enough trouble speaking in front of coworkers in a meeting!
