Real Rain Today!! Woo Hoo!!!
First solid rain we have had in over a month, been eking by with just sprinkles at night and a lot of watering with the hose every day. The new lettuce and spinach beds are in, I roto-tilled the old crop including the weed, add some compost and let the sun bake everything for a few days to make sure it was mostly dead, then replanted just in time for the rain. Sunflowers are loving it and even the wild bees are out pollinating the tomatoes although I use a few borage plants to lure them to my garden.

I haven't seen a real rain in 2 months --- 20 minute downpours don't count.
Mother Nature is screwing with me right now....and running up my water bill.
