The bill's claimed basis for squelching mention of Buttigeig's sexuality: Simply that it is controversial. And it is controversial because they have decided they don't like it. How does one argue with "logic" like that?

I'd say America is the one country that has "freedom of religion" where this kind of thing is most likely to happen. there are many theocracies that are much worse.

Homophobia and stupidity are both pretty common human traits. Religion is the reason.
