yup, you do.. well you should anyway. Its hard on the hands if you don't.
Sometimes, I find myself wrist deep in the dirt before I realize I don't have my gloves on. By then, it's more trouble than it's worth to stop and go get them.
I cannot even remember the last time I had polish on my fingernails.

@mistymoon77 The dirt was just there fairly recently. I keep a nail brush in both the kitchen and bathroom.
