Read "Crazy Rich Asians", "China Rich Firlgriend" and "Rick People Problems" by Kevin Kwan. According to the interview I heard on NPR, the crazy story events are mostly based on actual events.

The books are pretty much all about culture clash. Not Asian culture clashing with other cultures, so much as the culture of the crazy rich clashing with ordinary and sane people.

The books are very entertaining. I think they also demonstrate how a person born into wealth like Trump cant' actually relate to the world most peopel experience... even if Trump is not really mentioned.

Posted by snytiger6With the current trend of the far right moving into the forefront of many countries aroudn the world, perhaps it is time for people to rediscover the book "It Can't Happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis.

Posted by artnerdOne of my favorites. I read it after viewing a Kurt Cobain interview.
