A. First, "God" can be defined in different and in ways contradictory to different definitions.

A. Second, the original post reference the biblical text, so we look at it's definition of a "God" in reference to biblical/Hebrew text. Elohim:

1. "Elohim" is found 2602 times in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh, Old Testament). (It is not used in the Greek New Testament.)

A. Answer: In view of the context for the original post: People that wrote the laws are the gods.

B. Basically defined Law. In most all modern jurisdictions it would be a written script of some sort often codified.

2. The "law of Moses" is a common reference to the written laws that governed the nation of Israel over 2000 years ago. Scripture is a word basically saying something is in writing, from script.

C. "Law from God" in view of biblical context would be as basically explained above: The written laws governing the nation of Israel prior to 2000 years ago. Prophets, judges, kings [called Elohim or Gods] of old testiment were simular to modern day Executive branch and Judicial branch offices that would make executive orders [give prophesy] or change laws like modern Judges of America courts can do. So then, the writings of the prophets. etc. being in writing had simular value as being written laws.
