Happy???
I had an appointment with the new diabetic educator in the Endo clinic today. Seems my insulin pump is now out of warranty, and I can get a new one, She siggested a pump with a built iin monitor, sort of an artificial pancreas. I like the idea of not sticking my finger 5 times a day but also worry about the additional cost of this system. Is there anybody here who has one of those ystems already?

He and his family like it.
One issue is they have to get a replacement part for it every 6 months and it’s around $300.

Then again, I’m on the Dexcom G6 and have to replace the transmitter every 3 months.
@Sydland Yes, and that is in addition to the piump supplies.I have to see if I can afford that.
@Spinliesel Yes. The high tech diabetes management tools are very expensive.
My good friend has one and still has to test twice a day to double check the unit.
She has neuropathy and that throws her numbers off though.
She has an arm unit separate from the injection unit to monitor her glucose levels. One that she can sweep a reader over to get a level. It's pretty cool.

That sounds encouraging. Now the insurance company has to approve it.
