Oh, you have my sympathy. People that age are impossible at the best of times let aloone with a condition that requires discipline and compliance.
Good for you to get some distance from the chaos. He/she needs to grab a hold of that self preservation idea .
To his/her and your benefit, you should realize that the disease is not as acute and fast to respond to ail missteps as we are told.
Also, everybody's disbetes is a little different. But 13 is a terrible time in life to have to deal with the costant BG checking ans insulin injections and cravings aand such. I wish there was a mentoring program for the various age groups where teen can hear the information from people other than their parents o doctors.
