Hey folks, Venus here again. If you have not had a chance to check me out after sunset these past 3 weeks, Tonight would be a great opportunity. Use your binoculars after sunset and you will see me and an extra added attraction. The Earth's moon will be nestled up real close to me. In fact this is the closest that the moon will be to me all year. This is also a very young moon, only 29 hours old. I am now visible to your eyes after sunset when the sky becomes sufficiently dark and you might see the moon also. Use your binoculars and you will definitely see the both of us. Tomorrow night, the 13th, the moon will be higher up in the sky and close to Mercury. So if you have never seen Mercury this is a good chance to spot it. On the 15th the getting larger crescent moon will be near Mars.
