As afr as mars is concerned, the dust storm is still covering the entire planet. There is no detail of any kind visible. Such a shame as Mars right now is almost as large as it ever gets in a scope. We have about another month of decent size for Mars before it gets too small to make out much detail. Lets hope this storm subsides soon.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Update on looking at Mars. It's now almost midnight and Mars is as high in the sky as it gets for me. I do see the polar cap as a tiny bright spot of light on the edge of the planet. And maybe some dusky shadings poking through the dust storm. I'm not sure of this. Time will tell if the dust is settling.
