They are certainly lovely. Do you Arrange the shells before you glue them?
Well, sort of. Look at the close-up of the 2nd image. I try to match them as I go....but as you see it’s not that easy. The square one on the right still hasn’t been “glued” yet...they’re just sitting on the table. I think tomorrow’s the day to finish that one.
Just had a sun porch added and was thinking of a beach decorating theme . I can find shells , but can't seem to find anyplace selling fish net .
Shells + hot glue gun + old but good quality mirror (I watch for the beveled edged ones) + 5-6 hours of loving labor = beautifully framed mirror; (see/click on pics, above).
Search “Fish netting” on Amazon; I found a good source for $7.99 including shipping!
I just found a roll of it at Home Goods since they are already putting out their beachy decor, but this is similar to what I paid $15. for. Mine came with a starfish. [smile.amazon.com], I have a tiki bar on my patio and a Tiki themed backyard.
@CaroleKay I use the “smile.amazon.com” as well; and even though I’m not religious, I give to an elderly couple that run a school for kids who’ve been kicked out of regular schools, “Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch” in Riverhead NY.
Nice beachy feel! Puts those shells to use instead of just sitting in a jar! Lovely!
