Okay, another newbie here ... my hobbies are creating jewelry from copper or silver clay, handbuilding items using earth clay and firing them in my small electric kiln, and fusing a bit of glass ... also very stylistic acrylic paintings in a poster style; and I also write poetry.

Welcome aboard the bus. I think we're all going "farther". Show me yours and I'll show you mine....artistically that is.

Generally, I prefer the sun too @dede18.

Beautiful work!
I’ve done silver clay, mostly pieces I could fire with a torch. Now doing wire wrapping, mostly.

Very cool! Is that glass dichroic?

RavenCT Level 9 May 4, 2018

@dede18 I understand. I have some Susan Card pieces of dichroic jewelry - love her stuff and bunch of others.

Interesting that it can be kilned under the glass. Makes perfect sense.

I havent done it but having metallic clays seems to be a real advantage in jewelry making

You can make anything with the clay. It’s fun. You don’t need a kiln for the low fire silver.
