Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I'm in Sacramento and during the worst of the fire MY area had that claim to fame. It literally looked foggy for days here, schools closed, people were warned to remain indoors.

I'm in an island archipelago in NW Washington and for more than a week this last summer we too had smoky skies from the fires in WA and BC. There were many who were sickened by all the smog. Of course we all know (don't) it is not Climate Change but just a recent anomaly (sarcasm).
I’m about 100 miles south of you, and it was bad here too. Obviously not as bad as Sac, but our AQ was over 300. I couldn’t believe how many people didn’t bother to wear masks. I even saw people driving with windows down. I’m in a Republican zone though—Fox News must not have told them to protect themselves.
