I'm a professional ivory tickler with a wicked wit and a passion for music from Bach to Rock, great writing, teaching, lingering meals, and stimulating conversation over a good bottle of wine till the wee hours of the morning. I relish everything from the sublime to the ridiculous and while I take my work very seriously, I'm really a Mouseketeer at heart. When I’m not behind a piano, you can find me armed with popcorn and Twizzlers at the movies, in the front mezzanine of the theatre or symphony, in the tenth row of a rock concert, or just lounging in bed sipping coffee and reading the NY Times on my iPad with the CBS Sunday Morning show playing in the background.
I'm looking for someone who doesn’t think denial is a river in Egypt; someone with that indefinable sparkle in her eye that shows a glimpse of that special blend of integrity, intelligence, playfulness, a sharp wit, passion, resilience, sensuality, sexiness, and sensitivity, whom I will never tire of getting to know; someone who is able to be both independent and interdependent; someone who is forthright and honest in genuinely expressing herself without my having to grab my secret decoder ring; someone who is more interested in resolving conflicts than in being right; someone who is able to see and accept me for who I am without trying to change me and who is willing to be vulnerable enough to share all of herself within an atmosphere of mutual trust. And most of all... someone who is ready and willing to be truly happy.
The recipe for a great relationship is a mixture of, among other things, passion, mutual respect, spontaneity, laughter, tears, silliness, tenderness, confusion, clarity, work, periodic bouts of sheer lounging-in-your-pjs laziness. But by far, the most important aspect of any relationship is healthy communication. Without that, all the rest is just window dressing.
