I had no clue about religion until I was fostered by my adoptive parents, at which point I was raised as United Methodist. I liked how free thinking our individual church was, allowing people to openly express themselves through cross dressing and even my gay adoptive parents felt welcomed. Eventually, much later in my life, without the religious reinforcement of family and friends, as I lived on my own, I began to see the Bible more critically. Long story short, I opened my eyes. I do not believe in a god until it’s proven without a doubt, and the likelihood that this happens is negligible. Learning new things will always interest me, though regretfully I let myself become distracted from college and I never reached a degree
