I was baptized and half raised a Methodist. After the trauma of being lied to and then cruely being told there's no Santa Clause, that Jesus guy became suspect. I became a skeptic in my own right as a child. When I became a teenager, I explained it all to my parents and they were impressed with the amount of thought I had put into it and said "OK, keep thinking , Keep exploring." I've walked to the beat of a different drum ever since.
