I believe in the power of acknowledging what you don't know. If you acknowledge that you don't know, then you will seek to find out. On the other hand, if you blindly accept a tribal narrative, like religion, then you have no reason to seek the truth, because you think that you already know. I accept the fact that life is insecure, uncertain, and impermanent. The paradox is that the way to make life as secure as possible is to accept insecurity. Vain efforts to make life secure by clinging to superficially reassuring, but false narratives, will make life more insecure.
