Not looking for dates! I want to meet other atheists in my area and participate in a community with people somewhat like me.

I grew up in a typical, secular middle class American family. Religion was something other people did. So naturally my teenage rebellion was to become a raging fundamentalist. Ask me anything about early 90s Christian music. I thought Christian t-shirts riffing on popular brands was the most clever thing in the world. I even tried speaking in tongues. To the relief of my mother I discovered rock and roll and grew out of the religion thing by college, trading in the glossolalia for foreign languages. Now pushing 40 and life is good. It has to be. It's the only one I've got.
