I'm new here, but not to atheism, so forgive me if this has been brought up already.

I often think, "It must be nice, blissful even, to believe that you are going to go someplace better when you die. No need for worries or stress because this is all temporal and better things await." I feel that as an atheist, I have to care more than those who believe they are morally superior to me for believing in magic. However, I know that this is it, our one chance, and I'm trying hard to make this a better place for my children, but I feel that those who don't think this way just plain don't give a shit because they think they are going to be in a better place when they die.

Thoughts? Would I be a healthier, less stressed out human if I believed in god and heaven?
