I ask as many veterans this question as I come across: Do you think the VA would be better if it were managed by active duty personell? Would it cutdown on most of the b.s. and lack of understanding?

@bingst Honestly in some ways yes like with administration and benefits it might be better but with the right people.

And I say no because a lot of dudes that tend to wind up in the VA have also been through a prison system and/or have severe drug issues and I don’t think that they’re shit will fly well with someone that’s spit and polish.

And right now they’ve got a policy that’s a no go.
My wife’s a nurse and she tried working at one and when she came home crying with a black eye and a busted lip because she POS the wrong ice cream
I about lost my shit and when she returned to work the next day and dudes still sitting in the same bed and calling a stupid bitch for reporting him!

And all they did was have counselor come and talk to him but when I showed up they were ready to cuff me on the spot! No that was the last minute she worked there and the last I’ve ever have or will step foot in one.

So yeah let’s put a few lance corporals up in there and see just how far that shot don’t fly.
