What does anyone hope to gain by joining MENSA?

I'm admitting I dont have a high IQ but i would like to learn from those who do. I also love intelligent conversations with people who are smarter than me... At the moment.

Edited: Who knows the highest indicator for intelligence? Or, maybe I word it this way: What is an indication of high intelligence? Intelligence - the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.
