I'm not a minority in the general public but I am a minority at work. I am mostly open about my heathenism (atheist, nothing too kinky ?) but I work in a catholic organization. Sometimes the crazy shit I hear is enough to make my head explode. Luckily I can vent with coworkers that have similar feelings.
My coworkers know what I believe but I don't advertise that out of our immediate group.
At the beginning of every meeting we have a 'reflection'. This is meant to be a religious tradition that can be non-religious. Every opportunity I have I volunteer to give reflection. Never have they questioned my reflections but at the same time they are often very secular at the least.
