The Toronto Sun has a story that they knew the interview about Patric Brown was false. This doesn't look good for the two women who made allegations against him.

Any thoughts?

I saw in the Ottawa Citizen today that they're sticking to their stories. But really, this goes back to the "guilty till proven innocent" issue with such allegations - doesn't matter what the press says after they've reported them initially.

@Betty and @Hominid and like the minority-elected guy in the white house, having told at the time it happened even (or especially) if not reported bolsters the accusers's veravity.

It is difficult to know what the truth is when the media is judge and jury. It is instances like these that do damage to the #MeToo movement and set the discussion back rather than make the changes necessary to help solve the problems.

@Betty @Hominid what I meant was the women who will prevail are the ones who told people or got professional help with the trauma after the assault. Most of the assaults happened a decade or more ago, so DJT will be SOL by claiming women are jumping on a bandwagon. It is very likely Patric Brown's victims also told someone and that will bolster their case, even if the women never officially reported it. Most women don't report it, even if it is "just" touching.

I agree with you. I also believe that social media is taking sides and Patric Brown has lots of support and is fighting the allegations and that means the women will be vilified in the media.
