Russiagate and Everyone Involved in Promoting the Conspiracy Theory

I ran across a post on Twitter by Tim Canova the other day and it brought me down memory lane. Let's see what Canova said and then let's revisit Russiagate and who is involved. This post by William_Mary yesterday [agnostic.com] made my eyes bulge because it mentions the Atlantic Council, and in researching this stuff, they come up with connections to CrowdStrike and Hillary Clinton.

Assange was tolerated even applauded by many on left until Wikileaks published DNC Leaks, which were so damaging that DWS obstructed justice & denyied FBI access to DNC servers. Russiagate conspiracy theories & lies started with DWS & were always attack on truth & press freedoms.

Canova must be a Russian agent lol

Not only does this show the hypocrisy of a lot of the Democrats, but also the tribalism that they exhibit. Also, that they can just ignore the wrongdoings of their candidates and saviors like DWS and HC simply because it's "their" side.

Let's revisit what Tim Canova was talking about:

[thehill.com]

The FBI requested direct access to the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) hacked computer servers but was denied, Director James Comey told lawmakers on Tuesday.
The bureau made “multiple requests at different levels,” according to Comey, but ultimately struck an agreement with the DNC that a “highly respected private company” would get access and share what it found with investigators.
“We’d always prefer to have access hands-on ourselves if that’s possible,” Comey said, noting that he didn’t know why the DNC rebuffed the FBI’s request.
The director was testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee in a rare open session on Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election.
The DNC and the bureau have been quibbling in news reports over whether the FBI asked to examine its servers directly.
The DNC told BuzzFeed in a statement published last week that the FBI never requested access to its servers after they were breached.
But a senior law enforcement official disputed that characterization the following day.
“The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access to servers and data, only to be rebuffed until well after the initial compromise had been mitigated,” the official said.
“This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information. These actions caused significant delays and inhibited the FBI from addressing the intrusion earlier.”
CrowdStrike, the private security firm in question, has published extensive forensic analysis backing up its assessment that the threat groups that infiltrated the DNC were associated with Russian intelligence.

So not only did the DNC deny the FBI access to their "hacked" server and data upon multiple requests, but the FBI also didn't demand access and ALSO took the word of a private 3rd party. So not only is the DNC and DWS obstructing justice, but this is an issue that EVERYONE is claiming is detrimental to national security and is connected to a situation where people are accusing a sitting president of being treasonous, yet they are treating it like it's not a big deal.

If the DNC was serious about it at all and are telling the truth, they would have voluntarily given the FBI access, and if the FBI really thought it was serious, they would have seized those servers on the basis of national security. Neither did anything of the sort. So the FBI relied on a private 3rd party and a private DNC to give them national security information and COPIES of the servers data and information and analysis. So you hear it right from Comey and the FBI that direct access is best and they had "no choice" but to settle for what they got. Doesn't exactly seem like a thorough investigation under the claims of "national security" and "treason".

Why would CrowdStrike gaining access to the servers not interfere with the DNC's campaign, but the FBI gaining access would?

The FBI and the DNC are full of shit, and so is CrowdStrike.

And don't tell me that the DNC was in the middle of a campaign and couldn't give up their servers. The claim is national security and treason. The DNC could also somehow have provided the original servers after getting new servers and transferring the copied data on to the new servers. Even if they couldn't do that and it's true that it would interfere with their campaign, then why didn't they provide direct access of the servers to the FBI AFTER the campaign? It's all fucking excuses.

Any party other than the DNC and HC being investigated under these claims would have FBI agents at their doors seizing EVERYTHING in the form of computer equipment and servers despite any claims they still needed them to run their business or campaign. Since when does the FBI give a shit about that, ESPECIALLY when it's a national security and treason situation?

The DNC said what they wanted to happen and the FBI just said, ok cool!

I've heard all the excuses about it maybe compromising other data of the DNC or that Mueller indicted who he indicted like it doesn't matter about the DNC server, but it's all bullshit. The FBI just doesn't know for a FACT what was on those servers.

Meanwhile, CrowdStrike's analysis and validity as an accurate organization has been disputed:

Not only that, but CrowdStrike, Hillary Clinton, Google, and Ukranian oligarchs are all connected:

This is where the Atlantic Council, Hillary Clinton, and a Ukranian oligarch comes into it.

[counterpunch.org]

In lieu of substantive evidence provided to the public that the alleged hacks which led to Wikileaks releases of DNC and Clinton Campaign Manager John Podesta’s emails were orchestrated by the Russian Government, CrowdStrike’s bias has been cited as undependable in its own assessment, in addition to its skeptical methods and conclusions. The firm’s CTO and co-founder, Dmitri Alperovitch, is a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, a think tank with openly anti-Russian sentiments that is funded by Ukrainian billionaire Victor Pinchuk, who also happened to donate at least $10 million to the Clinton Foundation.
In 2013, the Atlantic Council awarded Hillary Clinton it’s Distinguished International Leadership Award. In 2014, the Atlantic Council hosted one of several events with former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who took over after pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych was ousted in early 2014, who now lives in exile in Russia.

This is where Google comes into it.

[qz.com]

An under-the-radar startup funded by billionaire Eric Schmidt has become a major technology vendor for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, underscoring the bonds between Silicon Valley and Democratic politics.
The Groundwork, according to Democratic campaign operatives and technologists, is part of efforts by Schmidt—the executive chairman of Google parent-company Alphabet—to ensure that Clinton has the engineering talent needed to win the election. And it is one of a series of quiet investments by Schmidt that recognize how modern political campaigns are run, with data analytics and digital outreach as vital ingredients that allow candidates to find, court, and turn out critical voter blocs.
There is also another gap in play: The shrinking distance between Google and the Democratic Party. Former Google executive Stephanie Hannon is the Clinton campaign’s chief technology officer, and a host of ex-Googlers are currently employed as high-ranking technical staff at the Obama White House. Schmidt, for his part, is one of the most powerful donors in the Democratic Party—and his influence does not stem only from his wealth, estimated by Forbes at more than $10 billion.
According to campaign finance disclosures, Clinton’s campaign is the Groundwork’s only political client. Its employees are mostly back-end software developers with experience at blue-chip tech firms like Netflix, Dreamhost, and Google.

If you need proof that security is a red hot market these days, how about this morning’s announcement that cybersecurity company CrowdStrike landed a $100 million Series C investment round?
The round was led by Google Capital with Rackspace, which happens to be one of the company’s customers also investing. Existing investors Accel and Warburg Pincus also participated. Today’s investment brings the total to-date to $156 million.

Mueller also has ties with ex-FBI senior executive Shawn Henry at CrowdStrike (President of Crowdstrike) and Steve Chabinsky:

[crowdstrike.com]

As President of CrowdStrike Services, Shawn leads a world-class team of cybersecurity professionals who investigate and mitigate targeted attacks on computer networks. Under his leadership, CrowdStrike engages in significant proactive and incident response operations across every major commercial sector and critical infrastructure, protecting organizations’ and governments’ sensitive data and networks.
Shawn retired as FBI Executive Assistant Director in 2012, overseeing half of the FBI’s investigative operations, including all FBI criminal and cyber investigations worldwide, international operations, victim services, and the FBI’s critical incident response to major investigations and disasters. During his 24-year career, he held a wide range of operational and leadership roles in four FBI Field Offices and FBI Headquarters and is credited with boosting the FBI’s computer crime and cybersecurity investigative capabilities. He oversaw computer crime investigations spanning the globe, including denial-of-service attacks, bank and corporate breaches, and state-sponsored intrusions. He also established unprecedented partnerships with international law enforcement counterparts in areas of high-threat cyber adversaries.

[archives.fbi.gov]

Director Robert S. Mueller, III has named Shawn Henry as the executive assistant director (EAD) of the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch (CCRSB). Mr. Henry will succeed Assistant Deputy Director T.J. Harrington. Mr. Henry most recently served as assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington Field Office.

[crowdstrike.com]

Steven Chabinsky is global chair of the Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity practice at White & Case LLP, an international law firm, and the cyber tactics columnist for Security magazine. He previously served as a member of the President’s Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity, the General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer of CrowdStrike, and Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI Cyber Division. CrowdStrike has links to Mr. Mueller. Its president, Shawn Henry, ran the FBI’s cyber division when Mr. Mueller led the bureau. Steve Chabinsky was also a close aide to Mr. Mueller in the cyber division before arriving at CrowdStrike as general counsel. He later joined an international law firm.
Mr. Henry and Mr. Chabinsky were senior CrowdStrike officers when the DNC called on the company to investigate the hack, identify the culprits and patch vulnerabilities.

Russiagaters have all been duped.

The Atlantic Council, "produces publications and issue briefs about global policy issues ranging from NATO's global role to energy security", as per Wikipedia. They are adamantly anti-Russian and are pro-U.S. imperialist as long as it has to do with energy (oil and gas etc.). The whole reason the U.S. and others concocted the whole Russiagate story is because they are in direct competition with Russia in the energy economy and the ultimate race to Central Asia (The "Stans" ). If you look up Atlantic Council and Central Asia, you will see a shit ton on it from the Atlantic Council's own website and their own YouTube channel.

I also find it funny how the Democrats think Trump is a Russian agent, yet they were key in approving a ramped up military budget for him. Who does that for someone they think is a foreign agent?

So Rethuglicans Found Nothing after 8 years of investigations into Shillary (I have a major distastell of her politics).and this is the best that you can come up with?.. Seriously?

Charlene Level 9 Apr 15, 2019

The best I can come up with? Lol

I don't like the Republicans either. They should have never had numerous investigations into the same crap. Can you say the same about Russiagate? It's going from Mueller to NY, and who knows how many after that? You are telling me that you are willing to take the circumstantial evidence that Russiagaters say proves Trump is a Russian agent, even after Mueller and Barr say differently, but you won't look at this evidence objectively?

@Piece2YourPuzzle the report cleared of Collusion..Obstruction is still on the books.
The other information gathered is being sent to the SDNY for further use in their ongoing investigations of Drumps businesses..and Taxes and fraud...so please spare the rambling of Drump on, as You love to call it "Russiagate".

@Charlene Who is talking about obstruction? I know what is being gathered.

You didn't address anything from the post.

And yes, it's Russiagate. That's what this post is about. Care to say anything about it? You've offered no objective criticism about anything or anyone in this post. Why?

@Piece2YourPuzzle the connections you refer to seem rather thin, and regardless of Shillary's connection to the Atlantic Council..it makes little difference as she Isn't president..your post comes off as a Clinton Cabal conspiracy theory.

@Charlene Sure it is.
