It was probably around 2nd or 3rd grade that I started giving the nuns trouble by asking questions they couldn't answer. My parents were called about concerns I was a "Doubting Thomas." Lucky for me, my parents decided after that, I didn't need to attend catechism any more. I never was had my first communion, in first grade, but was never confirmed like my siblings.

When I was 9, I flew from Honolulu to LA and when the plane got above the clouds and I saw that there was no 'heaven' to be seen, I knew the rest was a lie.
