I do it all the time, just not to much time in direct sun, for I am very pale.

I tend to do sun in the later afternoon, when the sun has th cut through the atmosphere at an angle, which gives more atmospheric protection. If I am doign time in the sun in themiddle of hte day, I use the Nutrogena sun screen in the little tubes.
@snytiger6 I wear big hats and I make my own sunblock out of cocoa butter and organic zinkoccide, I find it gives better protection for this pale girl.
