Anybody have any fresh/interesting chord changes, jazz chords, voice stacking for keyboards, modal harmony progressions. Any interesting tidbits really. Or maybe just a simple chord progression or baseline you like to use?

Here is a chord progression that I kind of like, which you may feel free to tinker with:

Dmaj7add9 Dmaj7 G
Em7 Em6 D
Bm Gdim A
Fm Fm7 D

Nice. Here is a simple one built on D Dorian mode.

Dm. F. C. G.
Mix it up with some 9ths 11, 6 whatever

Here is an interesting short piece that I wrote and released on my 2014 CD. The song is called "Frost" because I think it's pretty cool. The song is mastered to the EBU R128 loudness spec. I played the guitar part and cello synth. I used a session pianist for the keys. I did all the production and mastering. I would be interested to know what you think about the composition or production aspects of this piece. Note: This audio sample was not mastered for AAC or MP3 so it got thinned out during lossy compression.

I like it. IMHO production was clean and not “too busy” as my stuff can get. Composition was nice and familiar. In A, descending root by 1/2 steps resolving back to A. So chords are A, E, Emin, D, Dmin, and then.... I can’t remember. Local studio?

@Markus Thanks for your feedback. Many Orchestral, Jazz, and even Rock pieces follow the descending root template. I would like to hear or see some of your compositions.

Are you using an Ovation guitar? The chord arpeggios are really clean and tight.

Most of my stuff is scratched out on manuscript paper. Pecking around on a weighted key Yamaha digital piano. I may search around my phone vids and see what I have. I’m working on learning some fat juicy 9th, 11th and 13 chords and progressions.

@Markus I'm using a guitar that was made for me. I use white bronze strings to get that bright sound. But the whole recording got thinned out when my publisher converted to MP3 and AAC digital formats. They should have asked for a digital master from me so i could have prevented it. Last time that will happen! It sounds great on CD.

@Markus The title track on my Blues CD heavily uses major 13 chords. They provide a subdued dynamic in the verses against an aggressive bminor9 to gmajor7 repeat in the chorus.

@Markus The studio is mine. Here is a link to the website.

@kensmile4u
That bmin9 to gmaj7 has an ominous, pending drama kind of feel. ?
I still have to check out studio. Can’t open link from my phone in this app

Youtube says video unavailable 😟

@LenHazell53 That's curious. There are many you tube videos of me playing live in various venues. I did not create any music videos for the 2014 release.

@kensmile4u here's what I get when I click on the link in your post

@LenHazell53 Sorry about that. I'm not sure what computer platform, OS, or web engine you use. I suggest you first go to you tube and put "Likwid Audio Frost" in the search bar. You will then see what I pasted onto this website.
Second I suggest you contact @admin on this site and get their help to fix your issue. Good Luck.
