Bass players... ever use any Mark bass gear? If so what are your opinions. I've always been an Ampeg guy, but kinda disappointed with them in recent years.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Until it was announced this week that Yamaha bought the Ampeg name and designs, Ampeg amps were owned by St.Louis Music. St. L M is the owner and distributor of Crate amps. I'm not saying they were made by the same factory, but where there's a poopy smell.....there's usually poopy......

Awhile back, most of Ampeg's stuff was being made overseas.
I’ve only tried it, and was very impressed. My target for amplifucation now is their 500W head with two completely discrete pre-amps that can be isolated, switched out, or blended at the power amp. Perfect for my new Attitude. Beats getting two separate amps.

Did you use Mark bass cabinet as well?
